‘Fungtional’ bespoke furniture & art

9th February 2012

After purchasing Edward’s Volumptuous sideboard at the Michelham Priory Sussex Guild show, client Robert Stanworth has commissioned a set of occasional tables. Aptly named ‘Mushrooms’ the set of tables all have beautifully figured Olive Ash stems with a contrasting top made from either Walnut, Elm or Ash which where then veneered in a corresponding burr. These client led tables took close inspiration from, yes you guessed it, mushrooms and were designed to specific heights and sizes for their varied positions and  functions around the living room. The eccentric nature of these tables was brilliantly captured by my photographer Ed Bryan when photographing the tables in their ‘natural environment’. All the images will be shortly uploaded to the gallery page which is about to take on a fresh new look.
